Sany Worked With GPSC, Leadway, And RootCloud To Develop The Battery Switching Station

Nov 02, 2022

Sany is working with GPSC, Leadway, and RootCloud to explore the development of battery switching services and battery services for electric commercial vehicles, including battery and switching station monitoring and operation management software. The goal of the project is to address fleet operators' charging times and achieve clean energy and net zero goals by 2060.

Mrs. Rosaya Teinwan, Executive Vice President of Business Development at Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited or GPSC, PTT Group's innovative power flagship, The company recently signed a contract (MOU) with Sany Heavy Industries (SANY). The purpose of the contract is to study the feasibility of developing battery exchange services and battery service business for electric commercial vehicles (ECVs), as well as the development of monitoring and operation management software for battery and exchange stations. The aim of the project is to achieve clean energy and prepare the commercial transport sector for the need for low carbon emissions.

The initial phase of the study will focus on highway routes connecting logistics areas with high volumes of trafficking, investments in exchange stations and batteries will follow successful studies, while parties are also concerned about other potential routes and expansion of the network. Paul Da, Managing Director of SANY, said: "We would like to complement each other's strengths and work in depth with GPSC to create a new, clean, environmentally friendly and comfortable operating atmosphere for the entire transport chain in Thailand. SANY will contribute our technical expertise in battery swapping and electric commercial vehicles in order to set up demonstration digital green terminals in Thailand and build them together with GPSC"

Mr. Chakart Seanchan, CEO of Leadway, asserted that as the head of a heavy machinery solutions provider in Thailand, Leadway can leverage our human resources and national branches to enhance collaboration and drive feasibility studies"

Mr. Ho Howe Tian, Managing Director of RootCloud, said, "We are fully committed to supporting the GPSC's goals in its net-zero transition by combining cutting-edge iot and big data technologies to provide valuable insights to manage battery switching stations and battery switching stations and services in real time. This will accelerate the development and implementation of the technologies we need to address climate change."

Battery switching stations are considered a key technological development to address the charging time challenge, which is particularly important for the commercial transportation sector. The electric vehicle industry is expected to grow rapidly. Therefore, it is necessary to accelerate support for infrastructure development. The combination of interchange stations and battery-powered commercial vehicles will help reduce air pollution caused by the transport sector and is believed to support the expansion of the S-curve industry that promotes clean energy. Most importantly, the model is consistent with the organization's commitment to become a key player in energy technology and innovation, with the ultimate goal of achieving sustainable development, carbon neutrality by 2050 and net zero emissions by 2060.
