The 345D includes a pilot-controlled joystick positioned to allow the operator to rest his arms on the armrests. The vertical operating distance of the joystick is larger than the horizontal operating distance, reducing operator fatigue. The joystick handle is ergonomically shaped to fit the operator's hand. The horn switch and touch-sensitive low-idle switch are located on the top of the left and right handlebars respectively.
